How to search within ActionScript

With Flash Decompiler Trillix you can easily view ActionScript within SWF files, browse AS, search ActionScript and modify it in case if you lost SWF source file.




This is how it is done:

Download and launch latest version of Flex DecompilerDownload ActionScript Viewer from this page
Add SWF to 		You will have to add the SWF file(s) to "My Tasks" list of Flash Decompiler Trillix
After the file was added, switch to "Search" tab that can be found on the ribbon
The scripts of the selected SWF file will be displayed automatically
The "Search" tab also allows you to configure various search parameters for scripts
ActionScript view features the following modes: common representation, P-code, Hex Dump and combined (P-code and Hex Dump) representation
Now type the search parameters in "Search for" box and choose whether it has to be the exact, all words or any word match. You can also customize the search options more specifically
Then just click "Search now" button to start the search process
You can also perform the search through particular ActionScript. To achieve that click the required script in "My Tasks" list and its content will be displayed in preview window
Press Ctrl+F key combination to open "Find" window and type the text you would like to search for there

SWF (ShockWave Flash) can be edited through the Flash Decompiler. To start editing you will need to open your Flash Decompiler, click on the Manage tab then "Add Task". You will notice that the "Add Task" window has an "Edit" option. Here is where you can begin to edit images, sounds, texts, links, or colors within your SWF file. It's the easiest and the fastest way to edit SWF files cause you won't need to run Adobe Flash and convert your Flash movie to FLA source file. Edit Images Select any of the images that are on the My Tasks list. Once you've selected an image you will notice an "Image Properties" window in the lower left of your window. From here you can replace the image, set JPEG format, add transparency, remove transparency, or modify the quality of your image. To  edit texts of a SWF file , do the following: First, please,  add a file to “My tasks” list . After you’ve added the file, which objects you want to edit, please, switch to “Edit” tab, which is located on a ribbon bar: Click “Texts” button: Editing options differ for dynamic and static texts.
